Hello! My name is Dr. Sahar and I have been part of the Kids dentist family for over 14 years now. In addition to working at Kids dentist, I am a full time Clinical Associate Professor and the Clinic Director at the University of Illinois, Department of Pediatric Dentistry. I look forward to instilling a positive experience, whether I am treating your child or when I am teaching the dental students and residents. I am board certified by the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and serve on the examining committee for the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. I have a special interest in serving the underserved and travel to provide volunteer pediatric dental care to children in underprivileged countries at least twice a year.
I've earned my dental degree from Northwestern University Dental School in 1998. In 2002, I completed my training in Pediatric Dentistry from the University of Illinois at Chicago, where I also completed my Master's degree in Oral Science. I have served as the President of the Illinois Society of Pediatric Dentistry; on the editorial Board of Dentistry for Children; the councilor for the Pediatric Dentistry section at the American Dental Education Association, and I am the current President of the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Honorary Dental Society, Sigma chapter.
When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my husband and two boys playing soccer or biking around the city.
