Tooth-Colored Fillings

We use composite resin that matches your child's natural tooth shade, and we also offer amalgam restorations upon parent's request. The procedure is quick, gentle, and often surprises both kids and parents with how manageable it is.
Pediatric Crowns
When decay is more advanced or a tooth is significantly weakened, a crown provides full coverage protection. Dental crowns are designed to last until the baby tooth naturally falls out. The most common crowns in pediatric dentistry are stainless steel crowns.
Pulp Therapy
When decay reaches the nerve of a baby tooth, pulp therapy removes the infected tissue to save the tooth. Preserving baby teeth is important: they hold space for permanent teeth and are essential for proper chewing and speech development. The procedure is gentler than it sounds.
Tooth Extractions

Space Maintainers
If your child loses one of their back baby teeth earlier than expected, our pediatric dentists may recommend a space maintainer. As the name suggests, this appliance helps preserve the space left by the missing tooth so the permanent tooth has room to erupt properly. When a baby tooth is lost too soon, neighboring teeth often begin to shift or drift into the empty space. This movement can lead to crowding, misalignment, and may prevent the permanent tooth from coming in where it should. A space maintainer helps keep the surrounding teeth in their proper positions, reducing the risk of future orthodontic problems and potentially minimizing the need for more extensive treatment later. Fortunately, space maintainers are generally not necessary when front baby teeth are lost prematurely, as these teeth do not typically affect the eruption of permanent teeth in the same way.
